Game Icon
The icon is the square picture on game cards. Icons are 512 × 512; other shapes are cropped to a square from the middle. Without an icon, cards show the middle of the thumbnail.
Thumbnail
Thumbnails are 768 × 432. PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF up to 10 MB. Other sizes are scaled to fit.

Builders get building tools and the world saves itself.
Game Passes
Players buy a pass once, from this game's Store tab or in game (MarketplaceService:PromptPurchase(player, passId)). Check ownership with MarketplaceService:PlayerOwnsAsset or GamePassService:PlayerHasPass. You get the full price of every sale. Deleting a pass refunds everyone who bought it.
Developer Products
Things players can buy again and again in game, like currency packs (MarketplaceService:PromptProductPurchase(player, productId)). Your MarketplaceService.ProcessReceipt grants them; until it returns PurchaseGranted, the purchase is offered to it again each time the player joins.
Builders and Saving
Changes reach players in the server within a few seconds. The world saves every minute while people build, and when a player leaves.

Play classic 2018 games
Install once. After that, Play on any game page opens Alphaland, and it updates itself every time you join.

Windows
Windows 10 or 11. No admin rights needed.- Download AlphalandSetup.exe and open it.
- If SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer isn't code-signed yet.
- Wait for the download, then press Play on any game.
Installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Alphaland with desktop and Start menu shortcuts.
Linux
Any desktop distro. Runs through Wine.- Install Wine (for example
sudo dnf install wineorsudo apt install wine). - Download the installer and run it in a terminal, without sudo:
bash ~/Downloads/Alphaland-Linux-Installer.sh - Press Play on any game. Your browser asks to open Alphaland the first time.
Installs to ~/.local/share/alphaland with its own Wine prefix.
Android
Android 7.0 or newer, 64-bit.- Download the app on your phone and open it. Allow your browser to install apps if asked.
- Come back here in your phone's browser, logged in.
- Press Play on any game. It opens in the app with touch controls.
The 2016 mobile client, rebuilt for 64-bit Android. Studio is PC only.

Help
Pressing Play does nothing
Run the installer again; it registers the Play link again. Let your browser open alphaland-player links when it asks.
"Failed to connect" in game
The game server may still be starting. Wait a few seconds and press Play again. If it keeps happening, tell an admin which game you tried.
How do updates work?
Each time you join a game the launcher checks for a new version and downloads it first. You never need to reinstall.
Uninstalling
Windows: delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Alphaland and the shortcuts. Linux: delete ~/.local/share/alphaland and the two alphaland*.desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications.
